Carol James Drolet was born in beautiful Charleston, South Carolina. This is where she developed her deep love for books, children, and family. Carol travels the oak-lined lowcountry, explores salt marshes and frolics at the beaches, cherishing her Southern refuge. Carol attended Charleston schools, Winthrop College and Charleston Southern University. She holds a BS degree in Early Childhood Education, as well as, a BS degree in Elementary Education. Her post graduate studies are through The Citadel and The University of Charleston. Valuable years of writing, teaching and administrative experience led Carol to write poems, novels and children's books. She is a former Head Mistress, current public speaker, and volunteer. She and husband Michael beam talking about their three sons and daughter. But, the true delight shines through when Carol speaks of the eight Drolet grandchildren. Her writing career blossomed after retirement from teaching. "The stories were in my mind, but there just wasn't enough time to write them down." Today, her two adorable West Highland White Terriers, Molly and Maxwell "work" close beside Carol as she writes in her library.
