About the Author

Joao Borges da Cunha was born in 1973, in Lisbon, Portugal, where he has been based ever since. He has written fiction, poetry and drama, for which he was awarded a literary prize by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. He holds a degree in architecture, which he also teaches at the university level. He's a scholar of culture. This is his first original, entirely written in English. He is a 'Mary-Jane-Kellyist'. Not a 'Ripperologist'.
