Annette Aiea Day is a professional therapeutic artist, author, and multi-media artist. She has multiple studies and graduate degrees in the academic fields of Fine Arts, Jungian Studies, has a BA in Liberal Studies, and holds her MA in Psychology, Emphasizing in Art Therapy. For over 10 years, Annette has been professionally engaged in therapeutic art with children and adults, as well as childhood gang prevention through art making. As a life long learner herself, Annette continues to actively assist underserved teens and young adults towards development of their own creativity and critical thinking skills, as well as the value of a higher education. Her own art work has been shown in a number of juried art shows, resulting in one award as Best New Artist. Annette has been living with the ravages of cancer, and the necessary treatments, for over 20 years. Survivng 5 separate cancers, she has learned firsthand how an unprotected enviroment can lay waste to and destroy innocent life. Annette considers herself to be an environmental steward, as shown through her own lifestyle, avid gardening practices, and tireless work rescuing abandonded and wounded animals, children and adults. Art and writing are among her passions. She lives in Sonoma County, located in Northern California.
