Structure of the Programme * Introduction * PowerPoint presentation and notes (including training opportunities) * The 12-session programme for students: Session 1: Introductory Session Session 2: Personal Image Stressors Session 3: Transition and Change Stressors Session 4: Self-Esteem and Confidence Stressors Session 5: Health and Wellbeing Stressors Session 6: Peer Group Stressors Session 7: Family Stressors Session 8: Relationship Stressors Session 9: Loss and Bereavement Stressors Session 10: Study Skills and Learning Stressors Session 11: Exam Stressors Session 12: Future Stressors Each session, apart from Session 1, is structured as follows: * Introduction and Aims * Icebreaker and Brainstorm * Diary * Questions and Problem-Solving * Strategy Sheet * Take Home Task * Plenary and Evaluation The session plans all incorporate detailed facilitator notes regarding delivery and approaches. The accompanying audio CD contains all the diary entries which are a unique aspect of the programme. Each entry presents a specific stressor as experienced by a 'real' student in a 'real' context. The problems are consequently brought alive to the participants and this also enables them to empathise and problem-solve within a safe and nurturing context. Their own 'real' stressors can be dealt with in a less public forum once they have addressed the stressors of these various students.
