"Then down to the river came a little green frog and a hog from the bog and a dog on a jog, all a-quiver by the river where Marmaduke swam - Marmaduke Duck eating marmalade jam." Wonderful rhyme and hilarious action makes this a truly wonderful readaloud title - wait till you come across llama farmer Palmer!

I am very pleased with my purchase, a friend had been given hers when she visited "down under" , I wasn't sure it was available here but thanks to you my granddaughter is enjoying it here in the UK!

Brilliant book! One of our favorite rhyming stories - both our 5 year old and 2 year old love it. We keep getting it out of the library but have decided it's time to buy it for ourselves.

Fabulous story for babies to young readers, best read out loud. The reader is carried along by a rolling rhythm and rhyme so delightful that you dare not drop a word. While caught up in the musicality of language, an enchanting story unfolds about Marmaduke duck, who makes a pot of marmalade jam, stirring up a frenzy in all the nearby animals, who are then "in haste for a taste of the marmalade jam." When a llama eats the entire pot, the story is at risk of upset but instead ends beautifully with a suggestion out of the box from the llama farmer Palmer and a combined effort at making a new pot of jam. I still love it after the billionth read of the week.
