About the Author

Maria Alejandra Martinez de Velasco has a degree in Art Restoration and is a specialist in the history of the ancient Maya, with profound knowledge of their epigraphy. She has a Master's degree in Mesoamerican Studies at the UNAM. Maria Elena Vega has a degree in History from the UNAM and a Master's degree in Mesoamerican Studies from the same university. She currently holds a position as an associate researcher at the Institute of Historical Migrations.
