About the Author

Andrea Benedetti holds a Ph.D. in German Studies and teaches at the University of Urbino, Italy. He did extensive research on the work of Ernst Jünger and German Early Romanticism. He has recently co-edited "Totalität als Faszination. Systematisierung des Heterogenen im Werk Ernst Jüngers" (Berlin: New York, 2017)


Ulrich van Loyen is a Research Associate in Media Studies at the University of Siegen, and both a Scholar of German Literature and a Social Anthropologist by training. He received numerous research grants, among others for his biographies on Franz Baermann Steiner and Norbert Elias.
