Stephen L. Clark was born in Augusta, Maine, on June 20, 1944, but
spent time there for only one day. He grew up and attended school
in the small Central Vermont city of Barre. Later, he moved to East
Montpelier, Vermont, and now resides there with his lovely wife,
mother-in-law, and youngest son.
Stephen devoted 37 years of his life to teaching, and loved working
with children and experiencing the very magical moments that
occurred over the course of time. He received the prestigious award
of Who's Who in American Teachers multiple times. This was
especially precious to him as he was nominated by his own students.
"Stephen Clark" has been etched on a beautiful granite plaque for
his many dedicated years of teaching service. His name, along with
the names of so many friends and fellow educators is on display
above the trophy cases in the beautiful lobby of Barre Town School.
He respectfully refers to this distinctive tribute as "The Wall of
Fame." Stephen has always enjoyed writing and has had many poems
published in anthologies. He was encouraged by his wife, friends,
and colleagues to try something new... to write a book depicting
the numerous wonderful moments during a long and rewarding career.
The result is this book, MEMORABLE MOMENTS FROZEN IN TIME.
Stephen's special, often hilarious moments will be enjoyed
everywhere by teachers, students, parents, and anyone who has been
given the special gift from God to work with children.
