Maurice Lister has achieved considerable success in the field of hairdressing and barbering. Starting his career as a barber in the family business he went on to gain far-reaching experience in education, training, assessment and quality assurance of hairdressing and barbering qualifications. Maurice has worked throughout the UK and Europe and in Pakistan, India, and the Gulf. He has worked extensively as a development consultant for City & Guilds and HABIA, developing a range of qualifications, educational resources and assessment materials. Maurice has been a City & Guilds external quality assurer for 25 years and was previously the City & Guilds Chief Verifier for hair and beauty and one of only three Strategic Quality Advisors at City & Guilds. He currently leads the City & Guilds hair and beauty consultant team as Group Portfolio Consultant and is the lead consultant for all barbering qualifications. Maurice is also a City & Guilds Chief Examiner.
