Anton Uhl is an artist. His private art commissions include works in bronze, glass, paintings and murals in the homes of people like Arianna Huffington and Ringo Starr. He is also the third generation in a restaurant family. The chalet housing his grandmother's home and café was actually inside the 1936 Olympic Stadium in the Bavarian Alps. His mother's restaurant, Gretl's, was arguably the most famous restaurant in Aspen, Colorado in the sixties and seventies, praised by princes, movie stars, moguls and ski bums alike. In a determined effort to escape the food industry, Anton fled to New York, where he became a set designer for opera and theater. People like Luciano Pavarotti have graced the stages he worked on in Europe, Canada and the United States. He also worked as an art director on feature films, television and music concerts for many years in Hollyood. Following a severe health crisis in his early fifties, Anton's focus returned to food when it became the first successful tool used in his recovery. This book is the direct result of the very real concepts that he has applied in his life to become twenty years younger biologically than his chronological age. Anton hosts and produces "Cooking With Anton," a cooking show that has aired on local cable TV in Aspen for the past two years. Anton speaks four languages and has lived in eleven cities around the world. He currently lives on a ranch in Aspen with his wife, two children and two dogs.
