I agree with the first reviewer that at first it can seem to blend in with the usual run of varietal tarot decks, but it's more subtle than that.
The images bleed right to the edges of the cards without a frame or boundary strip, & have minimal font information, just roman numerals at the top. However, the direct rich colouring and clear black outlines lend the cards to being joined up in the process of making the story. Try it and see. The pages of the suits are quite ambivalent and can immediately be read as boys or girls as it applies. The swords seem less aggressive and more symbolic according to their placement and colouring. The deck stands up to closer observation when laid out.
