Erik Vatne is a poet and multi-disciplinary artist born and raised in New Jersey. He holds degrees from Bard College and Trinity College Dublin. He has published seven collections of poetry, including the highly acclaimed books, 'Cartographies of Silence' (2009) and the epic 400+ page collection, 'Mormon Heroin' (2012); and a book of drawings, 'Hydra.' His poems have appeared in major print and online journals and he has been nominated for a number of awards. His poems have been translated into Greek and were included in the international anthology of Modernism, '35 Poets, ' translated and edited by Yanni Livadas. He is currently involved in multiple projects; including a book of drawings, paintings, photographs and poetry called 'Crossing the Saugatuck' as well as the ongoing collection of poems 'The Epistles.'
