About the Author

María José Rivera (Herramélluri, La Rioja, España) es doctora en Matemáticas, Catedrática de la Universidad Politécnica de Valencia y madre de un hijo. Los últimos diez años ha dedicado buena parte de su tiempo a escribir relatos. De ahí surgió la trilogía a que pertenece Noches de Obon, compuesta además por Harmattan, finalista del X Premio de Novela Fernando Quiñones, publicada por Alianza Editorial, y Eres la luz de mis ojos, finalista del I Premio Hispania de Novela Histórica. También obtuvo el Premio de Relato Corto Antonio Gutiérrez de Cerezo por "Encalmada", y la Editorial Nivola publicó su texto de divulgación científica Las mil y una Hipatias, escrito junto a Xaro Nomdedeu.
