I first got this out of the library and was so impressed with it I wanted my own copy. Every page is absolutely packed with hints, how to do, how to fix, techniques, how to use brushstrokes and brushes. Colour and design, compostion, using colour with confidence. Painting people, places and things. It has 303 pages with everything you can think of on all subjects to do with oil painting and how it can be made easier to do. I recommend this book.

This is a very precise and well thought through book. It helps you to think about your environment for setting up and then leads you through the different techniques involved. The tips and reminders are helpful as are the clear directions given.
