About the Author

Bye Bye Biankus, a.k.a., SeeYa, is a registered American Quarter Horse that has spent most of her life with co-writer Sharee LaRue. She is a horse with her own values and rules and touches the heart of all who meet her. She has an unusual way of communicating with the humans in her life, however; Sharee and her have their own language. Sharee and SeeYa crossed paths when SeeYa was just three and since then have traveled the northwest since 1998 competing in shows, jumping, ranch sorting and extreme cowboy challenges, but mostly in barrel racing. SeeYa's favorite sport of all is "human training," which she works at every day with great results. Sharee has lived on the same farm in Milton-Freewater, Oregon most of her life. She has dedicated her time to family, friends, community and her animals. Starting to rodeo at the young age of 12, Sharee has competed in barrel racing for the past 30 years at the junior, high school and pro level. Even though she finds time to work at her local paper, she also publishes a rodeo magazine, Your Competitor News. Work does not seem to fill her days so she volunteers in her community through the local school board, 4-H, FFA and other groups in her area. Her busy schedule does not keep her away from her beloved pets, that she considers family. Each one has a special place and is treated with respect and kindness. Her favorite of the farm is of course, the horse, her first love. Sharee started her rodeo career on a hand me down mount named Star. Her very own horse came when she was 15. She named her Go and the two traveled the northwest competing in about 50 competitions a year. When Go was retired, SeeYa came into the picture and SeeYa and Sharee logged around 100 thousand miles a year and were rarely apart, even when at home. Sharee married Shane Wright in 1994, a boy she had known since third grade. Shane and Sharee graduated the same year from the small high school in the town that they still call home. The family's pride and joy are their two sons, Bowdie and Patton. Patton shares his love for animals and horses with his mother and Bowdie finds his passion in cattle. After SeeYa's retirement from barrel racing in 2007, she started a new career in helping children learn to ride and keeping them safe. She also has her own way of letting the little humans know who is in charge and how things will be done.
