"An important book"
*The School Librarian*
"No less an impressive statement for being a work of art . . .
Foreman's magical blues and yellows and the indefinite lines of his
drawing underline the symbolic message . . . A quietly disturbing
book this, which I fancy children will help their parents to
understand."
*The Junior Bookshelf*
"Foreman's characteristically spacious composition and subtly
graded washes are in close harmony with his theme of the vastness
and fragility of the natural world."
*TLS*
"Breathtaking watercolour illustrations weave a touching beachside
tale."
