Anne studied History and Comparative Religion for her first Degree and later for her Doctorate. She was Adviser in Inter Religious Relations with the Church of England and at one time Vice Moderator of the World Council of Churches in Geneva. She has also led many groups to Lebanon and Israel and for several years she co-organised a Youth Exchange Programme for young Jews, Christians and Muslims between Jerusalem and East London. In recognition of her work in inter-religious relations she was made a Lay Canon of Chelmsford Cathedral. Anne is author of several short books including From the Medes to the Mullahs: a history of Iran, The Holy Roman Empire: power politics and papacy and Making Sense of Militant Islam.
