Marc Bell was born in London, Ontario, and has befuddled and bemused his readers for almost twenty years. He is the author of Stroppy, Hot Potatoe, Pure Pajamas, and Shrimpy and Paul and Friends. His comics have appeared in many Canadian weeklies, Vice, and L.A. Weekly. He is a twin.
"Bell has a gift for incomprehensible gab, juggling a dozen language gags in complicated comic pages that, like Ulysses, could take you twenty-four hours or a lifetime to read." --LEE HENDERSON, Border Crossings on Hot Potatoe "[Bell's] drawings combine the beautiful flatness of the characters in Gustin paintings and the ability to create impossible environments in three dimensions that odd characters can explore and wander around." --Vice on Hot Potatoe "Bell's comics align perfectly with pop, each form attuned to capture the blips and burbles that gurgle out from our subconscious, without question and with great and unconstrained gusto. Beep beep!" --SEAN ROGERS, The Walrus on Hot Potatoe
