Richard I. Pervo earned a Th.D. at Harvard University and taught at Seabury-Western Theological Seminary and at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, USA. A specialist in Luke-Acts, he is the author of many books, most recently The Acts of John (Early Christian Apocrypha, 2015), and The Acts of Paul: A New Translation with Introduction and Commentary (2014).
"A thoughtfully and beautifully laid out volume by a scholar widely considered one the most trustworthy guides to the transmission of the Pauline legacy. The introductions are straightforward, clear, and judicious, followed by the texts and Pervo's readable, clever, even entertaining translations. . . . A sympathetic but critical treatment of these important texts, presented in a most enjoyable way." -Dennis R. MacDonald, Claremont School of Theology
