About the Author

Ms. Trinese "Nese" Robinson has dealt with many challenges throughout her life. She has struggled with depression, suicidal thoughts, the stresses of being a single mother, the trauma of rape, and the pain of chronic illness. She has been diagnosed with breast cancer on four separate occasions. But Nese has not let any of that slow her down. While going to school and receiving treatment for breast cancer, she worked in the call center of one of the largest telecommunications companies in the world and ran her own business.

Nese is the single mother of four children and lives in East Oakland, California, her beloved hometown.
