About the Author

Floyd Getchell was born in Olympia, Washington graduating from Capital High School and joining the Army Rangers soon after. While in the Army, Floyd became an expert in Leadership, Survival, Small Unit Tactics, and Marksmanship. Upon leaving the Service Floyd expanded his knowledge base by attending college, apprenticeship as a Leather-smith, Range Master at an indoor gun range and an oilfield/industrial safety supervisor. Returning to the Military he has served as a Fire Support Platoon Sergeant in two Combat Tours in Iraq and one in Afghanistan. He continues to serve as an Observer/Controller Trainer at Fort Polk, LA where he lives with his youngest son. He is currently pursuing an advanced Degree in Military History. This is his third novel.
