Joy Walker emigrated from Jamaica to the United States in 1970, seeking a diagnosis for her failing vision.Now a legally blind grandmother and a 26-year cancer survivor, Joy volunteers as a survivor speaker and poet. She also plays piano and accordion by ear and is involved in her local church.
