Provides strategies for promoting positive wellbeing and good mental health in autistic adults
Victoria Honeybourne is a senior advisory teacher, trainer and writer. Her background is in special educational needs teaching and she is author of a number of books on the topic. She has a particular interest in promoting wellbeing amongst young people and females on the autism spectrum. She has a diagnosis of Asperger Syndrome and lives in Shropshire, UK.
Exploring autism and happiness is not new, however, this book
dissolves the mystery - not imposing a neurotypical view of
happiness on autistic individuals is key. Positive psychology
uncovers individual autistic dispositions, emphasises strengths and
connection to meaning, facilitating happiness that builds into
secure and content wellbeing.
