I strongly recommend this book to anyone with a princess-loving little girl in the house! The design of the pages is gorgeous, and the story has been modified with a modern sense of humour. We have read it just about every day since it arrived.

I love this story it seems to be making fun of the fairy tale genre but at the same time perpetuating it! Not too traditional but still sticking to the basic outline. A nice focus on manners and kindness too. Perfect for my almost 6 year old daughter.

Love it! So does my almost three year old daughter. Beautiful illustrations and fun, quirky version of the story.

My daughter and I borrowed this book from the local library last night and we both thoroughly enjoyed it while I read it to her. My daughter was absolutely captivated by the pictures and the text. I am now looking for a copy to add to our home library.

Another fantastic Lauren Child book! I have bought this for my daughter and she loves looking at all the detail in the pictures as well as the listening to the story. Very entertaining read for both children and parents. I highly recommend it.
