Pedro Mañas (Madrid, 1981) es licenciado en Filología Inglesa por la Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. Fue allí donde uno de sus relatos fue seleccionado para una selección de jóvenes autores. Desde entonces, ha ganado diferentes galardones nacionales e internacionales en el ámbito de la narrativa infantil: el Leer es Vivir de la editorial Everest y el premio Ciudad de Málaga de la editorial Anaya, El Barco de Vapor de la editorial SM y el Premio Anaya de Literatura Infantil y Juvenil. Entre sus obras más conocidas se encuentran las series de primeras lecturas Los cazapesadillas, Princesas Dragón y Anna Kadabra, y los álbumes Señor aburrimiento y Un sombrero fantabuloso
