Reviews

""Dancer/choreographer-turned-scholar, Rowe writes in a manner that is at once personal and academic...Situating this study at the crossroads of social, historical, religious, and ethnic issues, Rowe demonstrates that dance, in this case Palestinian dance, is inherently political. A solid resourse for students of dance and Middle Eastern history and culture.""--Choice ""Delightfully written, flavoured as it is with autobiographical account and insightful commentary...this pleasantly designed and well produced book makes a powerfully fresh innovative contribution"" -- Douglas Pratt, Islam and Christian-Muslim Relations
