Reviews

'A gripping and funny story that's never patronising, and witty illustrations by Tony Ross' -- Mail on Sunday 19980719 'Morpurgo writes in a direct, chatty style, in the first person. Ross's sketches are witty and full of fear ... or fury ... or fun. Just right for newly-independent readers.' -- Books for Keeps 19980501 'A brilliant story about making friends with a funny, slightly spooky twist' -- Parents News 19981101
