"Richard Gillette has a genuinely artistic sensibility that makes
for painterly, even somewhat mysterious, interiors, a selection of
which are now beautifully showcased in his new book "The Art of the
Interior" (Rizzoli)." New York Social Diary
"Richard Gillette's interior design makes leaving the house that
much harder... 'Interiors' collects a series of clear vivid
photographs that document work he did between 1975 and 2008, mostly
in New York City. The range is genuinely astonishing: How did the
same man design both a townhouse based on the minimal, strong lines
of Japanese homes and a cool, glorious apartment filled with an
array of Greco-Roman elements? If Gillette has designed your home,
collecting art seems almost redundant." The Daily
"Stunning photographs highlight the hallmarks of Gillette's
work--his exceptionally fine craftsmanship and painterly attention
to surface and form, elements that contribute to making his
interiors works of art in their own right." Dexigner
"Richard Gillette has worked mightily as a one-man atelier for the
past 30 years." Architects + Artisans
