About the Author

Suzanne Roper Lisenby has been an Early Childhood classroom teacher since graduation from the University of Alabama in1976 as a Child Development Specialist. Receiving her Masters in Early Childhood Education from Samford University, she is also a National Board Certified Teacher. She has presented workshops at Johnson Space Center at NASA, as well as throughout the southeast as well as serving as a mentor for student teachers and new teachers. She embraces her family of educators including her sister and her daughter. She claims to be the world's oldest "geek" but her real passion is teaching young children the joys of writing. She has been published in local newspapers and online with her students' writing. With this book, she fulfills her life long dream of writing children's books. She lives in Birmingham, Alabama with her husband, Stanley, and of course, Rocky Beau.
