In the 1990s, he wrote guidebooks to several destinations then practically uncharted by the travel publishing industry, including Uganda, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Malawi, Mozambique and Rwanda. He lives in South Africa and is the author of the Rough Guide to Game Parks of South Africa. Ariadne Van Zandbergen is a photographer and content creator specialised in Africa. She owns The Africa Image Library (www.africaimagelibrary.com), a comprehensive photo library covering most of the continent. Her work is her hobby, but she also enjoys outdoor pursuits, including trail running and mountain biking in South Africa's Western Cape, where she is based.
