WILDERNESS THRILLER. "The Sage Wind blows Cold" is a finalist in Chanticleer Dante Rossetti Awards 2014, a New Adult thriller. Author Clint Hollingsworth studied tracking under Tom Brown, Jr., consultant on Benicio Del Toro's "The Hunted" and is a black belt in Goju Ryu karate. "Bagging a killer should have been the end of it, but it was only the beginning. Young tracker Mackenzie Crow, working at his uncle's bounty hunting business, is ambivalent when an old flame pleads for help. Not sure where he stands with Kailee, Mac soon finds out: she is married to his old rival and has kept this from him in order to solicit his expertise. Once in the woods with the Search and Rescue team, Mac comes into his element and within a short time has found both the lost child's trail and something completely unexpected: a strange set of tracks following the girl. Before this is through, he will be hunted by a psychopath and a cadre of mercenaries, all wanting to remove Crow from the land of the living."
About the Author
Clint Hollingsworth has spent a good deal of his time in the woods since he was a child. He developed a certain sensitivity to the happenings around him out there, but in 1990, he became a student of the Tom Brown Jr Tracker School learning wilderness survival and tracking. This led him to more advanced training from Naturalist Jon Young in tracking and awareness, skills which have saved his life in the far back country. He began his serious martial arts training in 1980 with Sensei Steve Olfs and has been trained by Sensei's Michael Dascenzo, Sensei Scott Schweitzer, Sensei Kevin Ingalls and Shihan John Roseberry. He holds a 4th degree black belt in Sho Rei Shobu Kan Okinawan Goju Ryu. Clint is the author of the long running post-apocalyptic webcomic (and its attending books) The Wandering Ones at wanderingones.com with over 20,000 readers across the world. He is in the woods whenever possible. He lives in Wenatchee, WA with his lovely wife Susie and waaaayyy too many cats.
