She has also studied at the Art Students League in New York City and St. Thomas Aquinus College. She has been an art teacher and a librarian in Sullivan, Maine where she has lived with her husband, Joe, for the past thirty-five years. She has both illustrated and written for the Puckerbrush Review and has created commercial illustrations for many organizations. Sammy is her first book for children.
