Theadora Whittington began to paint and draw in the 1990s while travelling extensively in China, gaining cross-cultural experiences, and studying Chinese painting with Liu DaWei. She has exhibited in London and Beijing, and has degrees in law, theology and illustration. Theadora recently worked with Yi minority children to paint a traditional story on the wall of their school deep in the mountains of Sichuan. She now lives in Hong Kong with her husband, two sons, two beagles, and surrounded by jungle. The Sand Turtle is her second book.
