About the Author

William Terrill (Terry) Searcy was born in Meridian, Mississippi, lived briefly in Nebraska and the balance of childhood between Dallas, Texas and Abilene, Texas. Terry attended college at Texas Tech University graduating in 1973 with a Bachelor of Architecture. Terry is an architect and works in the construction industry. Finding a love for historic architecture, this invariably expanded to our country's history and the family genealogy. Genealogy has been the author's primary extracurricular activity since the early 1980's. Terry met his wife Karey Anderson in college and they were married just after graduation (in a closed historical church Terry was instrumental in saving). Terry and Karey have three children and four grandchildren and reside in the DFW area.
