About the Author

Ritva Voutila was born in Nokia, Finland, and has made Australia her home since 1981. She studied at the School of Art and Design in Helsinki, and Julian Ashton Art School in Sydney. Ritva has illustrated over 50 books for children. She divides her time between fine art practice and illustration, and her artwork is held in collections worldwide. She lives in Ballarat with her husband Richard.
