About the Author

Jim Morris has been a singer, an actor, a conductor, a stage director and a producer. Jim has also been Director of Performing Arts for the Smithsonian Institution where he created the annual Folklife Festival, the Smithsonian Collection of Recordings, the Smithsonian Discovery Theater and programs in jazz, popular culture, dance and other arts initiatives. Jim is now retired and living in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, where he writes, produces films and volunteers at the Museum at the Edinburg Mill.
