About the Author

John V. Pittman (his friends call him Jack) has a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from Loyola University in Baltimore, Maryland and a Master of Science degree in technology management from American University in Washington, D.C. His Bachelor of Science degree included a minor in philosophy. Jack served for twenty-two years in the US Army. He worked in environmental consulting and then in a variety of public health assignments at the Florida Department of Health. Jack has maintained the abiding interests in the sciences he has had since childhood and his interests in philosophy and religion he has had since college. His interests, education, and work experiences have given him unique perspectives on possibilities for God and our place in the universe. Jack lives with his wife and best friend Jackie in Tallahassee, Florida.
