In this well-narrated reading of her book, Richardson offers exercises and insights into preparing for fundamental change in one's life. As with her other books, she starts with the premise that each person has unique contributions to make to the world. A strong foundation of self-care and esteem is necessary to do this work. As she did in her tape Finding Your Passion, Richardson mentions the importance of finding support groups. However, this audio stresses the need for solitude during which listeners will pursue meditative and writing exercises that provide strategies for specific action. The fundamental exercises help the listener identify core values and set specific goals around them; the rest of the program demonstrates how to support these values and goals. Although there are some slight spiritual overtones (e.g., trusting that there is a higher good that will help one through trying times), the suggestions and exercises are practical and will interest those who are ready to act to make life changes. Richardson has an enormous following owing to her Oprah appearances and best-selling books and tapes. Recommended for self-help collections in all types of libraries.-Kathleen A.
