Sternwheel enthusiast Sara Wright examines the history of sternwheelers in America, from their origins as working watercraft to their evolution as glorious floating mansions for tourists and travellers, as well as a look at the people behind the industry.
Sara Wright is a member of the American Sternwheel Association (www.americansternwheel.org), to whose newsletter she is a regular contributor. A professional artist and photographer, she has also been involved with the restoration of sternwheel houseboats. She earned a bachelor of science degree in commercial design from Indiana State University.
