About the Author

JD Guse spent his second decade of life on a farm outside Wilmington, Illinois and outside Ritchie, Illinois. In that world between places on a map, JD discovered his love of history and finding out the truth about a subject. After multiple stories about the land his parents owned were told to him, JD decided to set the record straight about his family's property. The Story of the Hadsel, Cox, Packard, Jones, Diven, Guse Property is JD's effort, with family and friends help, to set the record straight about what one prominent resident described as the "biggest mystery in Wesley Township." JD has written several other books, is retired military, actively working, married, grandfathering, and generally staring at the computer on a daily basis waiting for the next idea to pop into his head. Living in Arizona now, he doesn't miss the cold weather of Illinois at all.
