Richard Kitchen was born in Winchester, and grew up in Eastleigh,
near Southampton. He developed a love of cars from a very early
age, and grew to become obsessed by all things automotive. Despite
starting a career in IT, his love of TVRs turned into a business in
2012, when he took over the running of Southways Automotive Ltd,
now a renowned classic TVR specialist.
A father of three boys, and husband to a long-suffering wife,
Richard has restored, or had a first-hand in the body-off chassis
restorations of many TVRs over the past few years. He owns a TVR S1
and an S2, and previously owned a Chimaera 400.
