She has a global perspective of the fashion industry and is a dedicated follower of fashion. She now dedicates her passion for the industry in guiding the next generation of fashion designers as a fashion design lecturer, curriculum course developer and educational consultant. Her skills as a publisher began in 2012 when she collated all the numerous handouts she had made over the years for students and formatted them into A Technical Foundation, Women's Wear Pattern Cutting. With her vast experience in garment construction, from pattern making to sewing techniques Tanya wanted to share this knowledge in a wider perspective, so was created her first publication. She wanted to create a book that was easy for students to understand without requiring a teacher to help them. With a thorough understanding of designing in industry Tanya wanted her book to be the essential reference guide where the total contents are self-explanatory and easy to use. Focusing on the industry standard of creating garment blocks Tanya formatted her publication in a way that students, professionals and the home sewer can use the book to create for individual body shapes or mass production.
