Called the Clancy novel with "plenty of bite" ("People"), this #1 "New York Times" bestseller passes the torch to a new generation as Jack Ryan, Jr., son of President Jack Ryan, and his two cousins are recruited by a new covert agency established by the President to thwart a new breed of terrorism.

About the Author

A little more than thirty years ago Tom Clancy was a Maryland insurance broker with a passion for naval history. Years before, he had been an English major at Baltimore's Loyola College and had always dreamed of writing a novel. His first effort, The Hunt for Red October, sold briskly as a result of rave reviews, then catapulted onto the New York Times bestseller list after President Reagan pronounced it "the perfect yarn." From that day forward, Clancy established himself as an undisputed master at blending exceptional realism and authenticity, intricate plotting, and razor-sharp suspense. He passed away in October 2013.

Callum on
Tom Clancy is regarded by many the worlds’ leading action writer- and he certainly lives up to this! His books, although not as fast paced as those of Matthew Reilly, and engrossing, complex thrill rides. At times some of the introductions can be a little drawn out, but then, that’s what skim reading is for. The audio books make good listening and the video games are even more action!
Avis read!
Ryan on
This novel takes place after Jack Ryan's retirement from presiendency. Clancy tells the story of the 'black' assination organisation that is the legacy of Ryan. His son, Jack Ryan Junior who joins the agency will provide 1/3 of the reader's prespective.
The absence of many Clancy's familiar major characters may be of surprise and disappointment to the fans, however this allows Clancy to give a fresh element to his Ryan series.
Deon on
I have read many of Tom Clancy's books and enjoyed them all. I started reading The Teeth and the Tiger about five months ago and it has moved from my suitecase to my bed tale, to my book case to a box in the garage. I never got past page 100. It moves very slow and I felt the bored with it. Maybe oneday I will try again, but not as good as Tom Clancy's other books.
