"‘Theater of Shopping’ is a fascinating look at the design,
construction, and evolution of Bal Harbour Shops, tracing the
evolution of Stanley Whitman’s idea of a high end shopping center
in the new Village of Bal Harbour, Florida, just north of Miami
Beach." —BIG BUBBLE MIAMI
"Theater of Shopping: The Story of Stanley Whitman’s Bal Harbour
Shops, tells of how Whitman tenaciously clung to his vision
for an open-air luxury destination, persuading — or,
initially, failing to persuade, in some cases — luxury

there." —INTERNATIONAL COUNCIL OF SHOPPING CENTERS
