H.G. Wells, was born in 1866 as Herbert George Wells, in Kent County, England. A visionary author known mostly for his science fiction novels, Wells wrote many classics such as The Time Machine, The war of the Worlds, and The Invisible Man. He was generally credited with the conceptualization of purposeful vehicular time travel using a "Time Machine". H.G. Wells short story titled "The Chronic Argonauts", that was published in his college newspaper, was the foundation of "The Time Machine", the story that launched his science fiction writing career.
