Dr. Erin Donovan Erin started her work with kids over a decade ago. She began in a small Montessori school teaching part time in the classroom and part time through her own Spanish program. She moved on the the middle school classroom, returning for a year as a literacy facilitator in a Title One elementary school. As she was building her career as a teacher, she was also working on her own education. She is certified as a teacher in four different areas and proudly holds her National Boards in early adolescent Language Arts. She completed her second masters degree in Reading Education (her first was in American Studies.) She rounded out her academic career with the completion of her Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction, Urban Literacy. She currently serves as an assistant professor of education. Her work has been published in various academic journals, both domestically and internationally and currently she has self-published a dozen or so books for teachers and a novel series for young adult readers. However her proudest moments have always been working with kids and being privy to their a-ha moments.
