About the Author

Matthew Dawkins is a Jamaican award-winning author and poet whose work explores subject matters including adolescence, race, nationhood, and mental health. Until We Break is his debut novel. Matthew's work has been featured in Westwind Poetry, Indolent Books, Pinhole Poetry, and more. When he's not writing, Matthew can often be found daydreaming, talking to himself, or spending time with the people he loves.
