Carol Pearce-Worthington has published widely within the fast-growing community of modern American haiku and haibun. Her work, for which she has won national and international awards, has appeared in print and online literary journals devoted to these forms. A former actress and singer, and at one time, a medical editor at a major research hospital, she has taught the haiku form to surgeons, science researchers, medical fellows, writers and administrators, some of whom have gone on to publish widely and win their own awards. An experienced watercolorist, she has also published and illustrated her short stories, novels, essays, and children's books. This book of haibun traces her poetic evolution on the path of this classic tradition.
