David A. Hoekema received BA from Calvin College and the PhD in
Philosophy from Princeton University. He taught at St. Olaf College
and headed the American Philosophical Association at the University
of Delaware before joining the faculty at Calvin College, where he
taught philosophy from 1992 until 2018 and also served as Academic
Dean. He has led study programs and conducted research in Ghana,
Kenya, and South Africa, and most recently in
Uganda.
