PreS-Simple text and brightly colored art are the highlights of this book, which roughly follows the same format that Stanley used in What Do You Say? (S & S, 2003). Friendly animals, ranging from fireflies to elephants, are asked, "What do you do?" The answers are straightforward, except for one: "Aha, cheetah! What do you do?/I run fast./So tell us beetle! What do you do?/I ROCK! That's what I do!" The book concludes with the title question being directed at listeners. Vivid rich colors, the small trim size, and the use of repetition combine to create a playful book that is just right for toddler storytimes as well as one-on-one readings.-Wendy Woodfill, Hennepin County Library, Minnetonka, MN Copyright 2005 Reed Business Information.
